To prevent your gazebo from lifting off in the wind, it must be secured. You can secure it to hard surfaces with weights (for example our sandbags that add up to 100 kgs to the weight of the shelter). However, it is even better to secure the pop up gazebo with pegs, which are suitable for softer grounds. In particularly strong winds, however, the pop up gazebo should be dismantled for safety reasons. Even a professional pop up gazebo cannot withstand a hurricane. A more robust option for a permanent gazebo in the garden is offered by our garden gazebos. The frame of the garden gazebo is fixed in place, making it more robust in stormy weather. Heavy duty gazebos with a hardtop roof can remain standing in the garden year-round.

Most of our models feature a tarpaulin made of PVC-coated high-performance polyester. However, you also have the option of selecting fire-safe tents in the online shop, which have a canopy made of particularly heavy duty PVC. PVC is heavier than polyester, but is also certified as fire-proof according to international standards. This can be important if there are certain fire safety regulations at an event, or for insurance purposes.

Removable side panels attach to the roof and legs with Velcro straps or plastic hooks.
